Pandapas Pond Jefferson National Forest - Montgomery Co. VA

Description: This is an all around great place to get "out doors" without having to really drive far or put out much effort when you get there. Hiking can be as easy as going around the pond, but if you want do some great mountain biking or horse back riding this is the place. Trails vary from easy and flat to steep up and down the mountain. A+, one of my favorites.

Basic Directions: From Blacksburg, take 460 west for 3.5 miles. On your right will be Route 621 (Craig Creek Road). On your left will be a forest service road taking you to the Pandapas Pond and Poverty Creek Trail areas. There is an upper and lower parking area on this road. The lower parking area has a trail starting on each end. Both will take you to Pandapas Pond.
