The monochrome color scheme has been living in human’s design for centuries. The contrast black and white color was been used from the renaissance classic design into the modern style.

However, peoples start to get boring with the usual black and white design because of its plain and cold atmosphere, so the brighter color is now more often used in today’s house design. However, the monochrome color still not lose its glory yet, as you can see from this design idea, it still live and transform into a more modern and futuristic house design.

Take a look to the Trish house, wonderful home in Kent, England. The project was envisioned by Matthew Heywood, a British architect with a wonderful irregular shape combination with unique monochrome color scheme of black and white throughout the house. This black and white scheme is an idea to build simplicity along the house style, together with its modern look, and consists by several black white weatherboarding sealed the exterior.

The unusual style of irregular layers that intersecting each other in exterior changes dramatically into a futuristic home inside. Still with the monochrome scheme, the interior design is built in comfortable space, the black floor and white furniture, walls and ceiling in the whole house, from living room to the kitchen. There is also a futuristic fireplace in the middle of living room, advancing the modern design of its surrounding. Overall, this building can provide the wonderful comfortable space to live for the owner.

From this building design, we can conclude that on how monochrome style is not dead yet. The white and black design still lives in a more advanced style, from the classic chessboard pattern into a futuristic minimalist space and paint color. So don’t worry to use this unique monochrome color scheme for house, as long as you can design it into a balanced home style.
